Michter’s 25 Year Selling at $1,000 a Bottle…If You Can Find It That Cheap

Michter’s Bourbon has hit the market, with a limited release of 800 bottles that are going for $1,000 a piece. And while retailers are paying the hefty price tag, the consumer can be paying far more. According to Marketwatch, retailers are selling the bottles for upwards of $6,000.

At 58.1% ABV, Michter’s describes the release as:

A symphony of flavors plays at different points on the palate with molasses, holiday spice, chocolate, smoke roasted nuts, dried fruit melted butter and vanilla providing the highlights.

There is no good answer as to whether a bourbon is worth the price. As the old adage goes, it’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
